Committee Meeting Dates

The Schools’ Animal Ethics Committee aims to make the process as easy and as educational as possible.

The Committee meets during the school year to consider applications. Please ensure that your application is submitted at least 2 weeks before the Committee meets. Approval is required before any work commences.

Students and teachers can apply to the Committee for approval:

  • Students – For individual student investigations, including those for Science Fairs, CREST Awards, Bright Sparks and other similar events approval is given for up to one year.

  • Teachers – For science, biology, equine, animal care, aquaculture and agriculture teaching approval is given for three years.

The 2024 meeting dates are below.

  • 8th March (Submitted by 23rd February for 8th March meeting)
  • 8th April (Submitted by 22nd March for 8th April meeting)
  • 13th May (Submitted by 29th April for 13 May meeting)
  • 4th June (Submitted by 20th May for 4th June meeting)
  • 24th June (Submitted by 10th June for 24th June meeting)
  • 19th August (Submitted by 9th August for 19th August meeting)
  • 22nd November (Submitted by 8th November for 22nd November meeting)
